Let me get you in on something: to tell you the truth, I was literally a foodie. New places to eat were a part of my daily checklist. I found eating as a gastronomically rewarding rituaI. I loved the experience of ordering, appreciating the visuals and finally, reaching a state of taste euphoria. It was always something to look forward to.
Physical activities were a part of my “To-Do” list to even out all the eating, but it seems to me that I can’t keep a steady rhythm in maintaining my habits. The frequency of my dance and yoga sessions were dependent on my work and family schedules and my social activities that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. A healthy lifestyle was practically becoming an “event” than a habit for me.
I then decided that I have to stick to the plan and finally take charge of my health. I can be healthy and realized that what I was missing the whole time was will power and conviction for a healthier 2013.
Fate has its magical way of getting me back on track when I tried out the Food Intolerance test by LifeScience. It became the starting point for that healthy lifestyle I was aiming for.
For those who are not that familiar with the said test, the Food Intolerance test determines the types of food that your body cannot use up properly. Food choices can be very crucial in causing everything from that bloated feeling down to acne and gaining weight.
The test helped me find out what food to avoid and what to eat more of. It’s like finding out an invisible culprit in your refrigerator. These food choices can either make or break you, and that’s the inspiration for Reunited with My Kitchen.
It’s a part of my website where I will share with you healthier alternatives to otherwise proclaimed already “healthy” food options. It’s like taking you where the culinary magic happens- only this time, we consider better alternatives to what we already know. The JOY in cooking serves as the perfect foundation for a hearty culinary delight, while KNOWLEDGE serves as the key ingredient in everything we prepare- for ourselves and our loved ones!
