My Tango Withdrawal Syndrome: My Way with Moves... and Words
Tuesday, 21, May 2014

It’s been a few days already, but I still am not over it just yet...

Last week was the Tango Festival, and now just like every year, I’ve been consistently getting this Tango Withdrawal Syndrome. Every day since last week, I’ve been in a state of euphoria and the feeling is so overwhelming that the experience brought out my inner poetic/artsy self... this is the outcome, so dig in and enjoy, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed wordcrafting it...

Being a dancer...

A whirlwind of emotions...

Wild yet calculated.

Synchronized steps... with moves so infectious.

The deafening power of silence mixed with the calm and intense

Being a dancer...

Means accepting our partners’ idiosyncrasies

Treating them like artistic trademarks

Working with them rather than against them.

Being a dancer...

Means turning the tide every single day.

Whether small or of epic sized proportions,

The right moves, contribute to a recipe of highs and lows...

Breathing...

The shuffling feet, and beating hearts...

nothing else matters.

Being a dancer...

Committed and involved 100%

But once, the dancer leaves the stage...

So does her obsession...

Loving yet fierce

As focused as the eye of the storm

Such is being a dancer in LOVE.
