I consider shoes as signs for great things to come! This week, my shoe review is dedicated to a man of pure grit and talent, a prime example of determination magnified. Kobe Bryant has been reported to have surpassed Michael Jordan's scoring legacy, reaching a whopping 32,293 points! Kobe is an inspiration! The man's consistency doesn't just reflect in his scoring abilities, but his beautiful sneakers as well, same as the case with his "Prelude" series. 4 pairs from the pack have landed a spot in my shoeseum!
The Kobe Prelude 2 is a cross between lux and functional, the gray uppers mix up with the gold really good. The marble design gives the sneaker a whole new vibe. I look at this shoe as a classic sculpture that I can actually wear. Colors like these have that inherent ability to stay understated, but when you look at it closely, the gold gives it a striking edge.
The Kobe Prelude 5 never fails to get heads turning. Considered as a personal favorite from the whole Prelude Pack, this shoe is right up my avenue, the color blocking is superb and I personally have a lot of pieces that I can mix and match with them. It's such a standout!
The Kobe Prelude 6 is a graphic color fest. It's basically a canvas for very colorful artwork that consists of art found on the streets of Venice, CA. A flurry of sea creatures that is always a treat to look at and makes for a very great conversation piece. The embossed reptile-like texture adds to the shoes' animalistic appeal. These are what I call wearable art from sole to sockliner!
The Kobe Prelude 8 is a buffet of visual swirls that can drive any shoe crazy individual go nuts! I have been gravitating towards shoes with heavy graphics. This one is a very good example of it. Dubbed as "The Reflection", the shoe has hologram-like graphics which gives the shoe a unique look to it. Wearable art!
These are just shoes but to me, they also symbolize a PRELUDE OF GREATER THINGS TO COME!
TO A BIGGER AND BETTER SCORING 2015!
