Because New Year. Everyone may have an idea on what 2016 is for them. Be it a new hairdo, a slimmer figure, a newfound hobby and many more. Me? I decided to give my website www.annjacobe.com a new look and feel. Yes, it still contains different facets of what I'm about but I've decided to give it some new elements.
It may be a cliche, but a new look for my site is one of the ways I want to start this year with. I'm loving how we were able to transform it using our learnings from the past year.
Here are my inspirations and reasons for the change:
1. The Goal: No frills and upfront, simple and raw. I want it to be able to share my learnings from the different aspects of my life in a more straightforward manner.
2. Compatibility: I want the site to look good on desktop as well as on mobile. I also want it to transition seamlessly from landscape to portrait mode. I want the site to adapt to any conditions as it loads and gets viewed fully. A definite challenge to both our designers and developer but it's a learning we can apply to all our site projects.
3. Scale: I aimed for a site with a flexible design and structure that will not lose its aesthetics and efficiency when I decide to add features and functionalities.

Looking forward to more new things for 2016... the year of unstoppable wins!
