A New Chapter In My Lifebook

Sparking Joy

My year saw me tidying up and rearranging our home based on my desired bohemian theme. My daughter told me I should watch Marie Kondo because she thinks her method will make my decluttering easier. Sure enough, the Konmari method of tidying up has made it easy for me to let go of things that no longer spark joy.

Owning Crystal Magic

I picked up the book “The New Bohemians Handbook” by Justina Blakeney as my guide to redecorating. A chapter of the book featured Crystals. I have always been fascinated by them but haven’t really bought any for my home. As I began buying Crystals, I came across Reiki. They always mention Reiki-cleansed, Reiki-energized or Reiki-infused Crystals which only added curiosity from my end.

Harnessing Life Force Energy

My daughter and I were just whiling time when she showed me the book Reiki for Life by Penelope Quest. I learned that Reiki means “universal life-force energy” and that it is a hands-on healing technique that can balance, heal and harmonize all aspects of the person - physical, mental, emotional and spirituaI. I also learned that I can have my own Attunement, a process by which a Reiki Master unblocks one’s energy channels so that the healing energy can flow freely. With it, I can heal myself and others as well as infuse Reiki on things such as Crystals. It was more than magical, I can feel it.

The author said one must prepare to get an Attunement. I realized that what I started doing this year is actually preparing me for it. I found a class that same week for First Level Reiki Attunement and I showed up for it. A month after I got my Second Level Attunement.

Ever since I got Reiki, my path has been brighter. It isn’t without any obstacles, but despite the daily ups and downs, I feel more grounded and centered for having Reiki in my life.

Learning Kensho vs. Satori

Vishen Lakhiani, founder of Mindvalley shared a concept of growth that has tremendously helped him and it was taught by Rev. Michael Beckwith.

Kensho means growth by pain. We change our lives because something painful happened like improving our lifestyle because we got ill. Satori is growth by insight. In Kensho, our quality of life decreases before we realize that we need to improve it again. In Satori, our quality of life simply continues to improve.

I always thought that the changes in my life may not be complete because I didn’t have to go through pain to learn these significant changes. Now I know that I have to continuously improve myself so I can have more Satori-infused moments.

Looking At Patterns

When I look back at my greatest insights and successes in the different areas of my life, I realize that it’s all because I gave it all I got. I went all in, no holding back. I did it everyday. I trained/practiced it everyday. It’s in my mind from the time I wake up til I fall asleep at night. Yes, much like falling deeply in love. My insights and successes are full expressions of myself, my core and my being.

Embracing The New Version

This new version of the site and app is all about SATORI, the continuous insights that I will get from fully expressing my self, from falling in love deeply with what I do. I’m here with the hope that I can inspire and grow with each and every one of you.
